For 30 years people have been inspired to healthier eating by what has become known as the little black book with the red circle on the cover. That edition, while a vast improvement over the original mimeographed version, reduced the original 240 recipes to just 50. Now the missing recipes have been restored, revealing the original purpose of macrobiotics as conceived by george ohsawa: to promote happiness by promoting health.
