A very popular Buddhist teacher in the West, Chogyam Trungpa founded the Naropa Institute in Boulder, Colo., and Shambhala International, a network of meditation centers with headquarters in Halifax, Nova Scotia. These poems and songs of devotion, written between 1959 and 1971, are spontaneous and celebratory in nature.
