Gaia Consort celebrates the living Earth. Their second release is an interesting step forward for the band, mixing classic string quartet arrangements with African rhythms. The lyric imagery is drawn from the cycles of nature. Pagans, Wiccans, Gaians and Freethinkers get the music right away. Excellent musicianship helps the music strike a dynamic balance between solos and composed sections.
