from Hearts of Space. Bill Douglas has toured and recorded as a symphony bassoonist, a jazz pianist, and composer with clarinetist Richard Stoltzman and various ensembles. His compositions are performed by major orchestras and chamber groups worldwide, and in 1994 he was named classical composer of the year by Canada's music publishing association. On his seventh solo album he is accompanied by the Ars Nova Singers and a number of fine instrumentalists.
