In preparation for His emergence into the modern world, Maitreya-the Christ and World Teacher for the age of Aquarius-gave 140 messages through British artist and esotericist Benjamin Creme. They were communicated telepathically during Creme's public lectures in London, beginning on September 6, 1977. Through these messages, Maitreya releases fragments of His teaching, to prepare the climate of hope which will allow Him and His group-the Masters of Wisdom-to step forward without infringing human freewill. He suggests the lines that social change must take and urges us to work urgently for the rescue of millions suffering from poverty and starvation in a world of plenty. He describes His mission and relationship to us, giving hints on how we will recognise Him. He reveals our true nature as spiritual beings, destined to return to that high Source. He assures us that Sharing and Justice, Brotherhood and Freedom will prevail.
