Wilson, also known as Gourd Woman, is a traditional Dakotah elder born into a family of storytellers on North Dakota's Standing Rock Reservation. By the age of 11, she was fluent in the Dakotah language and telling stories herself. On this enhanced CD she teaches through traditional stories the lessons of humanity, as exemplified by animals, wind and stars. A visual slide show is also included on the relationship between Dakotah culture and the animals of the prairie.
