Vietnamese Zen master and prolific author Thich Nhat Hanh presents an overview of the life, work and thought of Tang Hoi, revered as the earliest known Buddhist meditation master of Vietnam. Tang Hoi was born in the region that is now Vietnam 300 years before the well-known Indian monk Bodhidharma went to China. Two of his writings are included in translation, both composed sometime before 229 CE.
